WIKA MO,MAHALIN MO

                We people communicate with each other by using languages, different languages all over the world. This month  August, we celebrated the national languages month also known as buwan ng wika with the theme “wikang katutubo: tungo sa bansang Filipino”. These theme implies to us Filipino people to love and prioritize our own language for the betterment of our country and not to waste the contributions of our ancestors.

                There are 130 languages all over the Philippines but there are only 8 major languages in the Philippines. This are iloco, kapangpangan, Cebuano, tagalog, waray, Hiligaynon, pangasinense, and Bicolano. We use this languages in our daily lives. In this modernworld there are so many different groups who influence most of the youths to study and be able to speak foreign languages. They set aside their own language just to speak foreign languages.

                We must prioritize our own language before anything else because it is our own, we must tangkilikin ang sariling atin. As Dr. Jose Rizal said “ang di marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa sa malansang isda”.
